{"id":4302,"date":"2022-09-20T16:10:25","date_gmt":"2022-09-20T16:10:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/decottalaw.com\/?p=4302"},"modified":"2022-09-20T16:10:26","modified_gmt":"2022-09-20T16:10:26","slug":"more-good-reasons-to-buy-property-in-andalucia-the-canary-islands","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/decottalaw.com\/it\/more-good-reasons-to-buy-property-in-andalucia-the-canary-islands\/","title":{"rendered":"More good reasons to buy property in Andalucia &#038; the Canary Islands"},"content":{"rendered":"<span style=\"font-size: 16.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;\">The regional government of Andalucia has just approved a Decree removing Wealth tax\nwhich was payable by those individuals with assets of 700.000\u20ac (non-residents\nfor Spanish assets) or 1.000.000\u20ac for residents on their worldwide estate. <\/span>\n\n<span style=\"font-size: 16.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;\">This would be attractive to those who are considering buying Andalucian property and\npossibly taking up residency with one of the Visa options in Spain. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;\">In January 2022 the regional government extended the reduced 7% flat rate of property\ntransmission tax \u2013 ITP \u2013 payable by the buyer. <\/span>\n\n<span style=\"font-size: 16.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;\">This, together with the favourable inheritance tax rates for families in Andalucia,\nmakes this area of Spain a good place to buy property.<\/span>\n\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n\n<span style=\"font-size: 16.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;\">In other regions of Spain the tax on purchasing property does vary. For example,\nat present Murcia has a flat rate of property transmission tax of 10% payable by\nthe buyer. Some areas such as Majorca have varying rates depending on value.\nFor new constructions you pay Iva at 10% at current levels. It is 21% for\ncommercial property and plots of land.<\/span>\n\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n\n<span style=\"font-size: 16.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;\">It is worth noting that in the Canary Islands &#8211; IGIC &#8211; the equivalent of Iva &#8211; is\ncharged at only 7%.
