Anglican Carol Service in Nerja, has raised 402 euro for the Hermanas del Buen Samaritano (Sisters of the Good Samaritan), to help with the upkeep of their ‘Casa de las Hermanas del Buen Samaritano’.

The House of the Sisters of the Good Samaritan (inaugurated in April this year, in a ceremony attended by the Mayor of Nerja, José Alberto Armijo, the Bishop of Málaga, Monsignor Jesús Catalá, and the founder of the order, Sister Irene García de Prados) is a residential home for the sick and elderly in the Nerja community.

The Sisters of the Good Samaritan order was founded in 1978 by the Chilean nun Sister Irene García de Prados.

The Samaritan House offers housing, general and health care for elderly residents and has places for 64 people.
