Jon Sutton English Solicitor & Partner at De Cotta Law’s Coin office, together with Javier Florido, one of the firm’s leading litigation lawyers, yesterday attended a local residents meeting in Alhaurin el Grande, where residents discussed establishing Neighbourhood Watch groups for the towns of Coin and Alhaurin el Grande. With crime rising in rural areas, local residents have become frustrated with the response from local authorities, police and Guardia Civil. To improve communication and security residents want to work with the authorities and help secure their neighbourhoods with their own approved and legitimate ‘vigilancia de la vecindad’ or Neighbourhood Watch groups.
